INTERMEDIATE CRUISING STANDARD
This course builds upon the knowledge taught in the basic course. The intermediate course focuses on boat operations, crew management and coastal navigation. You will practice passage planning and have the opportunity to apply the skills learned in the basic coastal navigation course.
Format: Five days & five nights liveaboard program through the Gulf Islands, into Howe Sound or along the Sunshine Coast
Boarding: at 4 pm (Day 1 of course), sail the following day
Prerequesites: ROC (M) VHF licence, Sail Canada Basic Coastal Navigation, Sail Canada Basic Cruising Standard
Recommended: 100nm experience
Certification: Sail Canada Intermediate Cruising Standard or Sail Canada Intermediate Crew Standard
International Certification: In addition to the Sail Canada "Intermediate Cruising Standard" you can register for the International Bare Boat Charter Skipper and ICC certifications issued by IYT (International Yacht Training)
